Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert bedside care for CVCU/stepdown patients, monitoring cardiac status and hemodynamics closely
• Manage complex lines and infusions with precision and adherence to safety protocols
• Rapidly assess and intervene for patient deterioration using evidence-based practices
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless treatment plans
• Document patient care and clinical changes clearly and promptly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatment plans, and post-discharge needs
• Maintain unit flow and patient assignments efficiently within the 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio

Qualifications

• Active RN license for Oklahoma or ability to obtain state licensure prior to start
• Current BLS certification; ACLS highly recommended or preferred
• Experience in CVCU, stepdown, telemetry, or progressive care settings
• Comfort and competence with 12-hour night shift schedules
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass required background checks and comply with facility onboarding

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred when available

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Management of central lines and infusion therapy
• Post-operative cardiac and progressive care nursing
• Critical thinking and rapid response to acute changes
• Patient education and discharge planning
• Electronic medical record documentation
